For instance if you have rockeries or garden borders with slate fillings then they can look discreet and work really well.
Lithe Audio have two versions of their rock speakers;
-
Bluetooth: The Lithe Audio Bluetooth Rock Speaker is an all in one outdoor rock speaker with a built in amplifier and Bluetooth receiver. Available as a single or a pair depending on the size of your garden area. You simply plug the master into an outdoor socket and pair your phone.

Best Stereo Input Outdoor Speaker - Monitor Audio CL60-T2
Most outdoor speakers are mono which means you need two speakers for your garden set up - one for left and one for right.
But what if you only want one speaker in a smaller seating area? Or perhaps you need three speakers to cover an awkward shaped decking area.
That’s where stereo input outdoor speakers come into play.
One physical speaker unit but it has two drivers - one for left and one for right.
And they don’t get much better than the Monitor Audio CL60-T2 - a beautiful looking outdoor speaker with a 6 ½” C-CAM bass driver and 1” C-CAM gold tweeter.
Pro Tip: Don’t forget that stereo speakers need two cables from the amplifier for both channels. They feature two sets of cable inputs and play both the left and right channel from one speaker housing.

Best Outdoor Ceiling Speaker - Q Acoustics QI65CW
I’m not crazy, there are plenty of times where a ceiling speaker could be needed outdoors!
Let’s say for example you have built a kitchen extension with an overhanging roof by the patio and want to add some discreet in-ceiling speakers or perhaps you’ve built an under-cover outdoor kitchen area.
It’s important that in these circumstances the ceiling is completely water-tight, the amplifier installed indoors and you use IP rated ceiling speakers.
A great option for this is the Q Acoustics QI65CW weatherproof ceiling speakers.
They are great quality, sound amazing and are durable enough to last outdoors when installed correctly.
They are also acoustically matched to the QI65EW outdoor speakers so if you need a combination of in-ceiling and wall mounted then this is a great option.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Polk Audio Atrium SUB 100 outdoor subwoofer.
It’s a compact surface-mount subwoofer that’s easy to install (just place it where you want it!) and it can then be wired into an adequate stereo power amplifier.
It’s available in either terracotta or a nice grey finish so whether your garden is traditional or modern it’s going to blend in quite nicely.
